Terms and Conditions for Public Training Courses, Conferences and Events
When you book one of our public courses, conferences or events, your booking is subject to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and only book a place if you are happy to be bound by them. If you have any questions, do please get in touch with us before booking. Email admin@mytenjin.com
- Booking confirmation: Confirmation of booking including venue directions and Programme timings will be sent by email to the delegate at least 7 days prior to the event. We are not responsible if this information does not reach you. If you book within 10 days of the event, contact us to ensure you have a place. Any delegate who has not received this information by 7 days prior to the event should contact us by admin@mytenjin.com
- Ordering Event documentation: If you have ordered a copy of the courseware because you could not attend the course in person, these will be emailed or posted to you after the event has taken place.
- Fees: Most courses booked online are payable online at the time of booking. Where this is not the case, we will invoice you. Invoices to be paid in full within 14 days of their date.
- Unless you cancel in accordance with our Cancellation Policy (see paragraph 6 below), the full course fee will be payable irrespective of whether the delegate attends the event or not.
- Late Payment: We reserve the right to levy a fee of £15 plus Vat per communication sent to you in respect of overdue invoices and/or charge late payment interest on any outstanding invoice at the rate of 5% above the base rate of Barclays Bank Plc.
- Discounts: Multiple delegate discount (where available) applies to delegates booking the same course, at the same time and from the same organisation. Discounts will be applied to the delegate/s with the least expensive booking. Discounts and offers of all kinds may not be used in conjunction with any other discount or offer.
- Alterations or Cancellation by Us: Where it is necessary, we reserve the right to vary any or all of the following: the event content, programme timing, speakers (including Keynote Speakers), the date and the venue. In the unlikely event of the event being cancelled by us, a full refund of your booking fee will be made. For all bookings and purchases, our liability shall be limited to the amount of the fee actually paid to us by the delegate/the delegate’s organisation. Where the event is cancelled or cannot take place because of circumstances that are out of our control, we accept no liability whatsoever.
- We reserve the right to refuse any cancel bookings made by or on behalf of those whose business directly or indirectly competes with ours.
- Cancellations by You and Refunds:
- All cancellations must be made in writing to admin@mytenjin.com
- Cancellations made more than 1 calendar month before the event date: A refund will be made less an administration fee of £75.00 plus VAT per delegate. You must obtain our written confirmation of receipt of your cancellation. You may transfer to an alternative course, free of charge.
- Cancellations made between 1 month and 2 weeks of the event date: A refund will be made less an administration fee of £100.00 plus VAT per delegate. You must obtain our written confirmation of receipt of your cancellation. You may transfer to an alternative course, free of charge.
- Cancellations made between 2 weeks and the start date of the event date: No refund. No discounts. No transfers permitted.
- Substitute delegates: Delegates are welcome to send someone in their place from the same organisation at any time, at no extra charge.
- Virtual Training:
- The Delegate and person making the booking accepts that Tenjin’s services do not include any services, systems or equipment required to access the internet (and that the Delegate/Person making the booking is solely responsible for procuring access to the internet and for all costs and expenses in connection with internet access, communications, data transmission and wireless or mobile charges incurred by them in connection with use of Tenjin’s services.
- In the event of technical problems arising with Tenjin’s service providers, Tenjin will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that the course continues to run on time. If the course needs to be postponed due to technical issues, it will be postponed to a date and time that is convenient to all parties. Tenjin is not liable for any damages for losses arising as a result of any technical issues arising that cause delays or result in the course having to be postponed.
- The Extent of Our Liability for Content: Without prejudice to clause 9 above, this booking form constitutes a legally binding contract with Tenjin Limited, Mistletoe House, Rous Lench, Evesham Worcestershire WR11 4UW. To the extent permitted by law, neither Tenjin nor its presenters will be liable by reason of breach of contract, negligence or otherwise for any loss or consequential loss occasioned to any person acting, omitting to act or refraining from acting in reliance upon the conference material or presentation, except to the extent that any such loss does not exceed the price of the conference, arising from or connected with any error or omission in the conference material or presentation of the conference. Consequential loss is deemed to include, but is not limited to, any loss or profits or anticipated profits, damage to reputation or goodwill, loss of business or anticipated business, damages, costs, expenses incurred or payable to any third party or any other indirect or consequential losses.
Terms and Conditions for Bespoke/In-House Training

- Confirmation of booking: Confirmation of booking will be sent by post or email within 14 days of receipt and at least 7 days prior to the event. We are not responsible if this information does not reach you. Any client or delegate who has not received this information by 7 days prior to the event should contact us by email admin@mytenjin.com . Please check your inbox for Booking Confirmation and let us now if you have not received it.
- Fees: We will invoice you. Invoices to be paid in full within 14 days of their date. Bespoke/In-house courses may be subject to stage payments which are agreed with you when booking. Invoices for stage payments are payable upon receipt.
- Late Payment: We reserve the right to levy a fee of £15 plus Vat per communication sent to you in respect of overdue invoices and/or to charge late payment interest on any outstanding invoice at the rate of 5% above the base rate of Barclays Bank Plc.
- Alterations to the Event/Disclaimer: Where it is necessary, we reserve the right to vary any or all of the following: the event content, programme timing, any speakers/trainers, the date and the venue. In the unlikely event of the event being cancelled by us, a full refund of your booking fee will be made. For all bookings and purchases, our liability shall be limited to the amount of the fee actually paid to us by you. Where the event is cancelled or cannot take place because of circumstances that are out of our control, we accept no liability whatsoever.
- Cancellations Made by You and Refunds:
- Inhouse (non-bespoke): Full fee is payable unless your written notice of cancellation is confirmed as being received by us at least one calendar month prior to the event date, in which case the fees will be credited less an administration charge of 25% of the full fee Plus Vat. No refunds will be payable by us for any cancellation made within one calendar month of the event date and in this event the full fee will remain payable. If you cancel, you remain liable for any relevant stage payments and any trainer travelling or accommodation costs that have already been incurred.
- Inhouse (bespoke): No refunds. You remain liable for any stage payments and any trainer travelling or accommodation costs that may have been incurred.
- Event Postponement: Either party can postpone but not cancel a booking due to bad weather, travel disruption, viral outbreaks or similar unforeseen events. If you postpone, you will be liable for any travelling / accommodation costs already incurred by us and any relevant stage payments.
- Trainer Costs: For in-house courses, you are liable for the trainer’s reasonable travelling costs (and reasonable accommodation and subsistence costs where required) providing that you have agreed them in advance. We will identify such costs in advance of your booking. All costs are subject to VAT. If you cancel or postpone your event and we have already incurred these costs, you will remain liable to pay them.
- In-house Training – What You Need to Provide: Unless otherwise agreed, you will need to provide a computer/laptop, digital projector, screen, all necessary cables, PA system (if deemed to be required by either party), delegate seating, delegate refreshments (if required), and IT support for the duration of the event. We are not liable for the event not taking place (or any part of it) due to failure of your equipment or IT support.
- In-house Training – What We Provide: We will provide the trainer, delegate courseware (digital version only unless otherwise agreed), laptop (if you specifically request it), and wireless remote control.
- Virtual Training:

e.g., Certified School Data Protection Practitioner / Foundation Course (CSDPP/F)
